Hiking in tea plantations sounds like work. Sapa and its rice terraces, however, are visually appealing. Meeting hill tribes could be interesting.
And Malaysia has rock climbing in Batu Caves near Kuala Lumpur. Imagine climbing limestone cliffs with monkeys observing!
Monkeys judging my climbing? My worst nightmare! Batu Caves are impressive; I'll admire them from the ground.
Both countries offer amazing cycling routes. Imagine cycling through Vietnam's countryside or exploring Malaysian islands by bike.
Cycling sounds like a good way to get a tan and sore muscles. Water buffalo, though, are majestic. Exploring islands by bike sounds idyllic.
Malaysia also offers white water rafting in Sabah, Borneo. For something unique, Vietnam has motorbike adventures, such as riding through the Hai Van Pass.
White water rafting in Borneo sounds like a good way to lose my glasses and dignity. Motorbikes in Vietnam… a classic tourist experience. The Hai Van Pass looks incredible, though.
Whether you prefer extreme sports or leisurely hikes, both countries have something to offer. It depends on your adventure level and tapir tolerance.
My tapir tolerance remains low. But Malaysia and Vietnam are surprisingly packed with sporty and adventurous options. I might even consider… putting down my coffee. Maybe.
